Defn: crazy, sleep deprived, coffee fuelled, anxiety ridden female with crazy hair. She is most commonly found with food & other partially digested substances splashed across her clothing & always puts her offsprings needs in front of hers. She is constantly in need of more time and help.
When I was in my teen’s I never noticed the MotherFool’s around me. They simply didn’t exist back then….or so I thought. Locked up in my own world and whether I could persuade my parents to let me go to the end of term disco in our local night club was my only cause for concern in those days.
By the time I hit my 20’s the MotherFool became somewhat of a an enigma……no one I ever aspired to be nor thought I would every become. A kinda of “Oh bet she was lovely in her day” type of figure. Patronising much? Yes.
When my 30’s rolled around amidst a haze of buying houses, weddings, buggies (in no particular order) I slowly morphed into said MotherFool. It just kind of crept up on me when I wasn’t looking.
Let’s just take this opportunity to look a little closer:
Person who lacks judgement – “Ah shur go wan I’ll have more of that red wine” and suddenly…hey presto!!! “Oh would you look at that?” 4 kids.
Person who lacks sense – I just spent a few euro in Penney’s on Elf Knee socks to make my kids laugh on Christmas morning. ‘Nuff Said.
Person who has been tricked into appearing silly – refer to above.
Person deceived into acting stupid –
Hubster: “D’you know what’d be great? If someone dressed up as Rudolf on Christmas eve and scaled the 2 floors on the outside of our building to scratch on the kids windows, whilst holding a bag of oats in your mouth!!!”
Me: “Whaaaat!!! are you kidding me? Amaxing idea!! Oh ok, yes, yes you are right….it’d be WAY better if I did it – why didn’t I think of that myself????!!!!”
Ah yes I rest my case. I am a fully fledged, paid up member of this exclusive club. A Master of Motherfoolery.
Do I mind? No. Why?
Cos MotherFool gets love like no other Fool.
Your’s, totally excited to wear those Elf socks again next year,
