School Run – the other type of running I do!

Lord GOD help me!!! I’m a beginner at this. I’ve just released my freshly made, brand new squeaky clean 5 year old into the world of primary school. BUT WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME HOW SOUL DESTROYING THE SCHOOL RUN WOULD BE!

school

Four weeks in and we’ve been too early, too late, eaten the contents of our lunch box in the back seat of the car, stripped off our uniform with the heat, fought over the fact that the inside of her school bag resembles the top floor of a Disney store and of course, the obligatory spilling of the school drink all over  herself and the other back seat passengers……much to 3rd born’s delight….his introduction to Orange Juice being a swift but refreshing one as it dribbled down from his eyebrows and onto his lips, via his snotty nose. And all this before 9am!

How will I do this for the next 18 years! Well I may not be able to solve most of the aforementioned problems but I’ll do my best to look good trying.

The last thing I need to contend with on this latest addition to my life are heels – I love them but comfort wins out for me. Plus have you ever tried to wrestle an octopus wearing 6 inch stiletto’s? Well I have a 9 month old one that feels like he is covered in butter CONSTANTLY.

So here is a taste of what I wore whilst going into combat doing the school run this week. As you can probably tell already – I’m a big fan of denim!!
